A Chance Encounter Empty
PostSubject: A Chance Encounter   A Chance Encounter EmptyTue Mar 13, 2012 2:47 pm

It was a beautiful, Saturday afternoon at All Fair Park. The sun was shining brightly through the clouds, it's warm, soothing light shining down upon a young, blonde haired boy who sat on one of the park benches. He was busy drawing something he had seen the other day, through the fog that seemed to cover his street that day. It was a small, grey rabbit looking creature, which resembled a Gazimon, something that the boy had seen a trading card of over at the comic book store. He drew the creature, wanting to commit it to memory so that when he told the police of this discovery, they would surely believe him! He drew a picture of the creature and everything! His parents had told him that he was just having a dream, but that wasn't true at all! He knew what he saw, he did, really. There was even an older boy with the Gazimon, who wore a pair of weird, clear glasses.

William eventually wiped the sweat off his brow with his left arm and looked away from his picture, his eyes strained from staring so intently at his work in progress. Sure, it was just a child's doodle drawn in crayon, but William certainly knew what he was doing! After all, he did get first place at his grade school's art contest, and that had to amount to something, right? His hazel eyes scanned the park, the young boy wondering how mad his parents would be, considering that he told his parents that he was going over to a friends place...

Salamon was sitting inside of a Ferris Wheel cart. Two people assumed that she was someone's lost stuffed animal. Next to her was a violet hand-held, (digivice) She was looking out the window trying to find the one that she was looking for. A few days ago when she was in the Digital World as Nyarmon she found a strange ripple effect near the forest she was living in being like a cat she went to investigate. She was sucked in and woke up to find herself in a strange place full of giant metal things and alot of two-legged creatures.

Why does it feel like I need to find someone? she asked herself as the ride came to a stop. She had been there for quiet some time and soon came across the deep perlpe device and decided to bring it with her. Now she had a feeling that the one she was waiting for was here somewhere in this place called "All Fair Park".

Keahi reluctantly made her way to All Fair Park with her usual shoulder bag containing her laptop and a couple of wildlife books. True, the weather was beautiful, but this was one of those days where she just felt like staying at home and slacking off. Her parents didn't want her to miss out on the great weather, though, and alas, here she was. "Oh well." she shrugged. "At least I brought my stuff." She sighed, hearing the buzzing voices of people getting louder as the park got closer. She had never been any good with crowds.

"Hey!" Hawkmon called as she flew closer to Keahi. "Cheer up, Kea! The good weather is healthy for you, and who knows." she said, trying to encourage her tamer to look on the bright side as they entered the park. "You might be in for a pleasant surprise!"

Keahi gave her partner a small smile. She had to admit, Hawkmon was a good pep talker. "Thanks." she whispered as she noticed some people looking her way. "I'm afraid you have to talk less now that we're here, though. The only talking birds here in the human world are parrots, and even they usually just say simple stuff like 'Hello', or 'Polly want a cracker'."

William yawned, quickly getting bored of sitting around and drawing as he sat on the bench. He dropped down from his seat and took his sketchpad with him as he decided that now would probably be a good time to get home. After all, he didn't want to get grounded again, and he was already lucky that one of the park security guards hadn't caught wind of him yet. In fact, it was pretty amazing that they had let him go through the front gate in the first place, given his age and all.

However, just as he was walking by, he saw what looked like a large bird talking to a girl about six or seven years older than Will. The young boy tilted his head to the side in confusion before walking over to the duo. He followed just out of their line of sight, looking back at his sketch before looking at Hawkmon. Once he got close enough, he reached out and swiftly plucked a feather from the bird's head, wanting to know if it was really there or not.

William now held a small white feather in his hand, and he turned it around a little, poking it occasionally. He smiled widely and then ran up to the girl who was with the Hawkmon and exclaimed, "I can't believe it! Where did you get a digimon?! Oh this is so cool. What is his name? Is it a he, or a she? What's it's special attack?!"

William continued on and on with his questioning, with seemingly no end in sight. He did tend to ramble a little when he got excited, so it was only natural that he would be a bit overjoyed to see that he wasn't the only person who knew about the digimon!

Salamon was sitting in the shade of a tree by now close to the food court watchign the humans eat. Her heared her own stomach growl wanting food. She put her paw on her stomach to try to quiet the small rummbling noice it just made, with a sigh she picked up the digivice and walked away from the tree. Little did she know that there was another digimon following her from the shadows.

"Erm-err-I-uh-" Keahi stuttered out in surprise, not sure of what to make of the situation. She was bad enough at small talking as it was, but now she didn't even have time to prepare herself! But this boy looked really eager for some answers; there was no way she could just walk away. "Keahi." she finally muttered as she took a step back. "Rather; that's my name. This is Hawkmon. She...well...her special attack is...err...Feather Strike." she finished awkwardly.

Seeing her tamer's discomfort rising, Hawkmon decided to help out. "Enough about us, what's your name?" she asked quietly enough to prevent the others in the park from listening. "And do you happen to have any human snacks?" she added, her eyes sparkling.
