Digimon: Seeds of Renaissance RP

Welcome one and all to Edinsborough, Scotland, home of the highlands, lush green fields, and some of the oddest pieces of culture in the world. While this quaint little town is in the country, it certainly does have it's fair share of economic hot spots, like the Clearview Mall, the Paulownia Water Park, and the Winchester Pub and Café. Edinsborough has it all, and even more for those adventurous enough to see what lurks behind the dark corners of the town. But even then, you might not find anything, but something might find you.

For you see, in Edinsborough, strange creatures known as Digimon, or Digital Monsters, have started cropping up in town, heralded by a cloud of colorless fog. These creatures, practically immune to conventional human weapons, would reek havoc upon the town if it wasn't for those few digimon who are willing to partner up with humans. These humans carry strange, hand sized machines that have small slits on the top, and a lever attached to the right side of the machine, with a small screen in the machine's center. These machines are called Digivices, and they hold the key to unlocking a digimon's true potential through Digivolution. These human and digimon teams are all that stand between the Wild Ones and the destruction of not just Edinsborough, but quite possibly the whole world.

So, with partner and digivice in hand, are you ready to fight, and build an unbreakable bond with your partners and friends? One could only hope.

Information on Digivices: In this RP, digivices are small, hand held devices that can be clipped onto a belt. On their right sides are a lever, and on the top of the machine is a small square hole where D-Lottos are inserted. D-Lottos are digital coins spawned in two ways. The first is from the remaining data of a deleted digimon. These kinds of D-Lottos vary in color, ranging from a dull copper color to a shimmering gold. When these coins are inserted into the digivice, three wheels will spin, much like a slot machine, and with a quick pull of the lever on the digivices right side, the slots will stop. Every D-Lotto is a winner, however, the effects vary in effectiveness. Sometimes the slots will be in your favor, increasing your digimon's strength (do not read this as Digivolving, that is something entirely different) and healing your digimon's minor wounds. At other times, the slots can give you penalties, like making your digimon move more slowly, making them weaker, etc. The color of the coins determines how successful you will be at getting a positive effect, but high quality D-Lottos, like platinum, are extremely rare, so it is best to save these D-Lottos until they are necessary.

The second way to spawn a D-Lotto is through the connection between Tamer and Partner (read as Character Development between the human and Digimon), and D-Lottos summoned in this way will always digivolve a digimon without fail. These special D-Lottos have a rainbow coloring to them, and appear in the Tamer's hand in a bright, shining light.

Also, all digivices have a unique color selected only to that digivice, and will only work with its intended Tamer. The list of Tamers and their corresponding Digivice colors will be put here for reference. Please inform me via chat or PM what color digivice you want your character to have.

To start off, and give a good example of what I expect, here is my character.

Tamer: Connor Arlésienne
Age: 16
Physical Description:

Connor's eyes are a dark cobalt blue color.
Strengths: Intelligent, Contemplative, Studious, Determined, Opinionated, and Strong Willed.
Weaknesses: Merciless, Overinflated Ego, Arrogant, Demanding, Snarky, Tends to overwork himself and his partner.
Fears: Being unable to take control of his life, and to lose everyone he might consider to be a "friend". He is also terrified of becoming the weakest Tamer and losing his partner in a battle.
Overall Personality: If one could describe Connor's personality in a single sentence, most would describe him as, "A smarty pants jerkass who cares only about himself." In actuality...this isn't far from the truth. Connor is snarky, condescending, and leaps at the chance to showcase his superiority to others. With this sort of attitude, it is not surprising that Connor has trouble making friends, what with how cold and megalomaniacal he is around others. But, deep down, he does care for other people, and this shows numerous times in battle when he will do whatever it takes to keep civilian's out of harms way. Connor, oddly enough, treats battles like chess games, with his partner Gazimon as the knight, and he as the King. Because of his strong will to become strong and take control of his life, Connor and Gazimon actively hunt the Wild Ones, spending most of their free time doing such. Of course, his cold, harsh exterior can be slowly thawed to reveal a young man who is simply alone, and fears that any friends he makes will just leave.

Attacks: Paralysis Breath (spews a black cloud of paralyzing gas from it's mouth), Pitfall (digs holes that digimon can fall into.), and can use it's claws and fists in close quarter's combat if necessary.
Strengths: Determined, Street wise, Sociable, Athletic, Strong Willed, and Loyal.
Weaknesses: Rude, Flirtatious, Short Tempered, Reckless, and Greedy.
Overall Personality: The fact that Gazimon is with a human partner, let alone Connor, is an utter mystery. Most Gazimon hate humans, so much so that they actively seek to mess around with them, but this particular Gazimon is different. He is much more independent than the rest of his species, and joined with Connor because the young man was intelligent, and was an expert strategist for someone of his age. Not only that, but Digimon needed a partner in the human world, otherwise they would not be able to digivolve. Yet, while the pair's meeting is a mystery, Gazimon is loyal to his Tamer, following his every command, not because they are friends, but because Gazimon knows that without Connor, he would never get any stronger than he is. However, while Gazimon may feel this way towards his Tamer, he can't help but admire the teen's attempts to control his own destiny, regardless of anyone else telling him otherwise. Gazimon is almost like a foil of Connor, acting social and kind on the outside, but learning more about him reveals a much darker side to him. He is very outspoken, though this usually just gets him a slap across the muzzle every time he speaks. Gazimon tries to be a sweet-talker to other digimon, but due to his...traits, most usually stray away from him. Gazimon is always willing to start a fight, even if he isn't directly involved with the conflict, and can be rather greedy at times, hoarding whatever he might find.

Tamer: Harper Bredehoft
Age: 15
Physical Description: Basic description of clothing. A sleeveless white top with a dark green scarf. She wears white sleeves with padded guards on the top because she doesn't like getting scratched. A black skirt with a matching green belt and white shoes with green and black patterns go along with the rest of the outfit. Her headphones are based off of lion ears, and the ears can project sounds like speakers.
Note: Red hair and green eyes.

Overall Personality: Harper is an energetic young girl who adores music, clothes, shopping, and generally making friends. Her father run a big company that involves music and making music products. Her headphones were specially made just for her after she developed an obsession with large cats, especially lions. Harper's mother is always busy schmoozing with the company and keeping up good impressions while her dad is at work. This leaves Harper alone to do whatever she wants with a vast amount of money at her disposal. Although money does not truly make her happy, at all. She tries to make friends, but any friends she does make become bothered by her overbearing ways. Harper thinks that is okay to buy friends the most expensive gifts and spend money on anyone and everyone. Although it sounds like she's buying friends, Harper is indeed a good friend at heart. She is very empathetic to the feelings of others and attentive as well. She can notice the littlest changes and details in people, places, and things. Harper can just be very clingy with the few friends she does have and can easily get jealous at times as well. After her little sister passed away, she became scared of losing people close to her, which is also a root of her clingy behavior. She wants to spend as much time as possible with all of her 'friends' and live life positively. Harper keeps a happy-go-lucky outlook on things. She remains positive despite the odds and works hard to keep morale for her Digimon and any friends as well. By doing this she thinks it is positively affecting how she really feels inside, although she does tend to break down at some points. Leormon states often that she is like a machine that needs to be repaired or oiled up once this happens. People tend to take advantage of her good intentions, which is incredibly frustrating for her Digimon.

Attacks: Leo Claw- Rips apart the foe with sharp claws.
Critical Bite- A destructive bite that can fell even a Champion Digimon with one blow. It has a very low success rate.
Strengths: Honest, Forward, Careful, Attentive, Persistent, Loyal.
Weaknesses: Highly suspicious, Hard to earn its trust, Aggressive, Strong dislike for.. Everything, Somewhat Prideful and cocky.
Overall Personality: Leormon is a near opposite to his Partner. He dislikes everything, is highly suspicious of many things, and is doesn't seem to care about the feelings of others. He isn't around to make friends, and is stuck with his partner. It's not that he hates Harper, he just thinks she can be incredibly foolish. Their 'friendship' is incredibly complex to others at times. Leormon is constantly watching her back though, and is quick to jump and attack if someone is taking advantage of her good nature. He often calls her gullible and stupid. Harper is trying to teach Leormon about friendship, although she doesn't know the basics of it herself really, and Leormon is trying to teach her that pleasing everyone else instead of herself isn't the way to live life. Leormon is quick to fight, and is very proud of his power and sure of himself. In truth, he does like Harper as a friend. He chooses not to admit it though and resents when she wants to dress him up in cute little bows and ribbons and the like. Leormon wants to become stronger for his own personal reasons, reasons he will not state. Harper thinks it is just a pride thing, but really he wants to protect a specific important thing.

Digimon: Salamon Nickname: Haruka

Attacks: Puppy Howling- A sonic boom.(like Patamon's Boom Bubble)
Petty Punch / Petit Punch-a punch with those tiny little paws.

Strengths: Protective, kind-hearted, easy-going, and works well with others

Weaknesses: Stubborn, Bossy at times, doesn't know when to keep to herself

Overall Personality: Salamon is a rookie type Digimon with alot of enerjy but is mature for her "Age". She will put her life on the line if it means to keep her friends safe. At time she doesn't take orders when she feels that they are wrong and this gets her into trouble half the time. She will do what she can to help others even if she doesn't know them. Salamon always tries to look for the good in both people and Digimon, but if someone were to harm her friends then she will do what ever it takes to protect them.

Human Partner: William

Strengths: Intelligent, Kind, Understanding
Weaknesses: Easily irritated, slightly bipolar (otherwise known as Keyami's human twin |D)
Fears: Being alone or abandoned, Being ignored or forgotten about completely
Overall Personality: A generally kind and warm girl is what most people looking on see. However, become a bit closer to Kuma and you'll notice that she has quite the tongue and isn't afraid to speak her mind. In fact, she accidentally does all the time. When she should be holding her tongue, she'd blurting out things she shouldn't be. However, she's known to be bright and often rather loony. Her moods are night and day, angry in one moment and bouncy in the next. It takes a unique group of people to stand this Tamer.
Partner: Renamon ---> Kyubimon ---> Taomon ---> Sakuyamon

Weaknesses: Constantly arguing with anyone other than Kuma, not to say that they don't argue. Sometimes infuriatingly calm in situations that ones should be panicking in.
Overall Personality: A genuinely caring Digimon, Renamon attempts to hide her compassionate side from the world. However, those who can find the holes in her mask are ultimately her closest friends and allies. One to keep lifelong bonds and ties, Renamon is the perfect Digimon for the orphaned Kuma.

Physical Description:

Strengths: Strong Willed, Persistant, Athletic, Philisophical, Honorable
Weaknesses: Little Patience, not that bright when it comes to math, reckless, stubborn

Overall Personality: He is an athlete that is extremely serious about his sports. He is the all-star of basically every team at his high school and can do almost anything, except pass math class. Whenever some kind of physical challenge will come up he will usually take it upon himself to take care of it. Whenever an intelectual problem comes up he will usually try to solve it physcially instead of mentally. He is extremely arrogant about his skills, but he is also supportive of someone who wants to better their own skills. He also does not fight needlessly, he won't simply start a fight with someone just because they ticked him off, instead he will just blow off steam at a gym.

Overall Personality: He is very supportive of others and also very modest unlike his Tamer. He likes to joke around and roll around whenever he doesn't need to battle. He enjoys rolling into a ball and being a soccer ball because it helps him increase his endurance, but mainly it allows him to spend time with Shitashi. If he is left alone he rolls up into a ball and just sits there till someone shows up.

Overall Personality:
Most of the time Kat's calm and cool, but when she get's mad take others advice and run. She loves to explore and loves to play video games when she has the free time. Nothing can really bother her, other then people that tick her off and when it comes to her digimon partner, no one mess with her partner. She cherish's her friendships far more than anything else and will do anything for her friends. Even at the cost of her own life. Physically Kat's not the strongest but when it comes to wits, she really smart, but only when it comes to Science and Mythology. It drives her crazy to listen to others opinions. To Kat, it's best to do whatever the situation asks for. She also has a very sharp tongue when it comes to subjects likes friends.

Dorumon takes after her tamer when it comes to the temper and the love for Mythology, but unlike your tamer she loves to help others. Dorumon does not know what her mega lv Digivolution is. She has yet to reach her full power, but she does not care. To Dorumon, the world is like a giant town. It's just full of people and other digimon. Which just gets her all gitty when Kat say's they are going to travel.

Physical Description:

Strengths: Open minded, Creative, Generous, Energetic, and Tolerant.
Weaknesses: Submissive, Naive, Gullible, Quirky, and Impatient.
Fears: Darkness, Big scary monsters, Spiders, the Bogeyman, and being all alone in unfamiliar territory.
Overall Personality: William is a very...different child. Sure, he is obedient, well mannered and a little angel, but that isn't what makes William who he is. No, it's the bizarre creativity he has, occasionally drawing pictures of flying pink elephants with jet engines strapped to their sides, or making a clay sculpture of some abstract shape he had just thought up in his head. He's always open to new ideas and opinions, but tends to lose interest in anything he feels might be wasting his time.

He is quick to listen to orders, usually from anyone older than him, as he is quite gullible, and with his naive idealistic view that everyone is naturally a good person at heart, and are only forced to commit evil deeds. Do to his inexperience in combat and numerous phobias, Will isn't that great of a leader to his Salamon, who he has named Haruka. Still, he holds her in high respect, treating her more like the sister that he never had. And, while he does hate fighting against the terrifying Wild Ones, he knows that he has to, or else someone might get hurt.

Tamer: Keahi Reef

Age: 12

Physical Description: She's got naturally tanned skin, and blue eyes. Her bobbed hair is black, with a hairclip keeping the left bangs away (the right ones cover her right eye). Her usual attire is pretty simple; A red sweatshirt with a yellow sun symbol on the front and jeans.

Strengths: Modest, sympathetic, book smart.

Weaknesses: Awkward, shy, easily frightened/stressed.

Fears: Loud noises, dissappointing others, jellyfish (among some others).

Overall Personality: Keahi has Asperger's Syndrome, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage. On one hand, it gives her a slight intelligence boost, and a good memory on things she's read. On the other hand, it causes her to become slightly awkward around others, especially in a loud crowd. She also crumbles easily inder stress. If one gets past this shell, however, she's quite the joker.

Partner: Hawkmon-->Aquilamon--Garudamon

Attacks:
Feather Strike- Throws her feather like a boomerang.
Air cutter- Temporarily stops the foe's movements with air blades, doing a little damage in the process.

Strengths: Carefree, motivating, patient

Weaknesses: Ditzy, book dumb, sometimes overly curious

Overall Personality: Hawkmon is a great match for Keahi, often helping her along when she's feeling down. At the same time, Keahi balances out Hawkmon's ditziness, and teaches her (yup, she's a female) about the human world. This has lead Hawkmon to become fascinated by humans and their lifestyle, although her curiosity can sometimes get the both of them into trouble.
