A New Conductor Boards the Train

Jason sat on a chair in the middle of train car that was turned into an office. He was reading a packet of papers he had just been handed. "So this girl will be my apprentice?" he asked not looking up from the papers. "Yes," he boss said, "she is next in line to become a Conductor. Now go get ready, we will be picking her up soon." he said leaning back in his chair. "Hm, alright." Jason said, he tossed the papers back onto the desk and left the cabin.

OoC: If this were a TV show I imagined a zoom in on the papers and the top sheet would be your name and have a picture of you XD

Rin was happily asleep in her bedroom at home. Well... people say home, but it wasn't really a home to her. Just a house. A place to live. A place to shelter.

Being the only child of a wealthy family, Rin often thought she must be one of the unluckiest people alive. Her parents were hardly ever home to see her because work kept them away for long periods of time. In fact, the few staff that her parents had employed to take care of her and the house while they were gone, were the closest things to real parents she had.

The pale young girl stirred slightly in her sleep, blissfully unaware of the Conductors and what they did..... for now anyway.

Jason was walking through another train cabin. Unlike the other one that was an office, this one had a multitude of magenta doors. He stoped at one door that had a 7 on it,((no signifigance in the number just because XD)) then put a key in the door and walked in.

OoC: He will appear in your dream through a random door, so create whatever dream world you want.

Rin was dreaming of the forest near to her house. She was sat in one of the trees, watching the forest floor below her. But despite the sun's warm rays shining down from the cloudless sky above, the forest felt cold. And despite the multitude of flora and fauna surrounding her, for some reason, the forest felt desolate and empty.
It was confusing to say the least.
All of a sudden a seemingly random door appeared in the trunk of a nearby tree. Rin tilted her head slightly to the side, curious as to what it was.

Jason walked through the door and into the forest. "Hm, cool forest," he said to himself, "Now where is she?" he said looking around for Rin.

Rin watched from her high vantage point, as a man walked through the door. She had never seen this guy before in her life, and couldn't help wondering who on earth he was. She shrugged it off after a few moments of thinking though, as despite this being a dream, Rin's common sense told her that even people could be made up in dreams.

"Hm... where is she?" Jason looked around, "Rin are you here!?" he shouted.

Rin blinked as the man called out to her. Without thinking she jumped down from the tree, neatly landing on her feet, bending her knees as she did.
"Yes...."

"Ah there you are," he said, "So, hows it going?" he asked casually, looking around.

"Uh...great...I guess," she replied, knowing that that was the answer most people expect when they ask that question to break the ice.
Rin just seemed to awkwardly watch the man as he casually tried to make conversation, whilst looking around at the mixed up forest in her dream.

"So Rin," he asked, "What is your favorite era in history?" he asked, he then walked over to a tree and started to hang from it.

"Uhm...."
Rin was completely stumped with the question. She turned and followed the odd man's movements as he made his way over to a tree. She replied as he started to hang from it.
"I... I don't really have a favourite..."

"Hm," he said, "Well I hope you like the 1920's cause you will get to see them." Jason then got off of the tree and walked back over towards the door, "You interested?" he asked.

Rin blinked once more. "See.... them?" she asked, clearly confused as to what the random guy in her dream meant by that statement.

"Yea, my name is Jason and I am a Conductor. I travel through time and make sure history runs its correct course. And you have been chosen as my apprentice, so are you coming?" he asked.

It didn't take her a second to nod and quickly head after the mysterious 'Conductor'.
"I guess you already know, but I'm Rin," she replied quietly, saving her questions for later.

"Yup, now come on lets hurry." Jason said, "I need to tell you how to board the train before you wake up." he said walking through the door.

"Okay..." she replied, quickly following Jason through the door. There were still many questions on her mind, but for now she would do what she did best, observing everything around her.

Jason walked back through the door onto the train. He then waited for Rin to walk through as well.

Rin followed Jason through the door but stopped as soon as she realized she was in a completely different place.
"Where...are we?"

"This is called the Temproal Rail, a train that allows us to travel anywhere and anywhen in time," he said. He then started to walk to the next car, "Follow me," he said, "And take a look outside while your at it."

OoC:There is like an endless Aurora Borealis outside the window.

Rin nodded, noting down the information as she followed Jason to the next carriage.
She did as she was instructed and glanced out of the window. Rin ended up blinking and rubbing her eyes before looking again, just to check it was real.
It was like an endless trail of colour. It was beautiful, the way the different shades melded together, much like the Northern Lights. But it also looked and felt... mysterious.

Jason walked into a car that had more doors in it, "This is a dorm cart, other Conductors live in this car among others," he said.

Rin just silently nodded as Jason walked into the next carriage and explained how all the doors were dormitories. She was intrigued by the simplicity of the train's design.

Jason walked into the next carriage and again it was simply doors, as they walked in a man walked out of door wearing a sheriff outfit from the midwest. He nodded at Jason and then went into the next car. "This car is a bit more important," he said, "All of these doors lead to different times in history."
