Winged killer

Lauren dodged to the side as the chimera's head aimed to grab her black scarf. She hadn't turned away from the creature. She had watched as it broke free of the soil. She had been walking towards the town again, not the direction she had taken when Maikuro had blocked her way. The alchemist then ran through the snow. If this creature was now hell bent on attacking her, she wasn't about to stand around and let it.

Maikuro roared and charged at Lauren. He created large puffs of snow every time his feet landed on the snow, and he seemed to be moving quite well on the ground despite his winged limbs.

Lauren continued to run, after realizing that the creature behind her would catch up just because of its sheer size, she clapped her hands together again and applied the same technique as before. This time though, she used a lot more soil, and it was focused only on one of Maikuro's back legs, just to give her enough time to get into the town, which really wasn't that far away now, as she had been slowly edging towards it the entire time that the chimera had been tailing her.

Maikuro quickly launched up when he heard the clap, he was a quick learner and wouldn't fall for the same thing twice. He kept himself high from the ground and flew ahead of lauren. He roared, quickly turned, and dive bombed towards Lauren.

Lauren half wished that this creature could talk. At least then she could use her silver tongue to negotiate her way out of this mess. Instead of using alchemy again, she grabbed two handfuls of snow and quickly formed them together into a ball, throwing them at the dive bombing creature, aiming for its eyes.
After throwing the balls of snow, she made a run for it again.

Maikuro easily dodged the snowball and angled back towards Lauren. He plummeted down to the earth and hit it. Hard. The snow and dirt around the two flew up from the force and a dull vibration could be felt from the impact for several moments.

Lauren quickly dodged out of the way of the creatures dive and watched as the snow was thrown up into the air as Maikuro hit the ground. She didn't stop running, though she felt the slight vibrations from the impact. The edge of town was only about a hundred metres away now and to be honest, she couldn't wait to reach it.

Maikuro charged out of the snow cloud before it settled back to the ground. He roared and bit at Lauren, not really paying attention to the stone-wood nests in front of them.
